   Canard Café Bar opens in Stamford Urby, replacing Modern Love Coffee

   Modern Love Coffee Roasters closed its cafe inside the Stamford Urby apartment lobby on December 22, 2023, in what its owner called 'an amicable separation' after Urby management wanted to take the space in a different direction. Canard Café Bar, a Parisian-style cafe brand with an existing Jersey City Urby location, was set to open in the same spot in February 2024, pending permitting.

   Why this matters: This location in the Stamford Urby lobby was Modern Love Coffee until December 2023; any review referencing Modern Love Coffee at this address predates a full concept and ownership change to Canard Café Bar in early 2024.
